What PhotosynthAI is
PhotosynthAI is a Shopify app that turns the casual phone photos already attached to your products into professional studio product photography — ghost-mannequin, flatlay and studio-white looks, generated in under a minute, published back to the product in one click. It launched on the Shopify App Store in 2026, where it holds a 5.0 rating.
The idea is narrow on purpose. Most product photo tools are general-purpose image editors that happen to accept product shots. PhotosynthAI does one workflow — the photos already on your Shopify products, made studio-grade, without leaving the admin — and puts its effort into the details that decide whether a generated photo is actually publishable: exact colors, real silhouettes, and labels that read as your label rather than AI lettering.
Who builds it
PhotosynthAI is built by Trade Vault LLC, a small company based in Miami Beach, Florida. It is an independent product: no venture funding to grow into, no growth team, no dark patterns. It is paid for by its subscriptions.
What we believe about product photos
- Accuracy over beauty. A generated photo must show the product a customer actually receives. Every guide we publish says so, and the app's reference-photo system exists for exactly this reason.
- No invented numbers. We do not publish fake statistics, fabricated testimonials, or "trusted by thousands" claims. When we have real customer results we can name, we will name them — with permission.
- Honest about limits. AI generation is excellent at presentation and unreliable at fine invented detail. Our assessment of where it fails is on this site, in public.
How your data is handled
The app accesses only what the workflow needs — your store domain and product data under the permission you approve at install. It never accesses your customers' data. The privacy policy is short and specific about what is stored and how deletion works.
